Marsha Lynne Ellis (nee Goudreau) of Petrolia passed away peacefully at the age of 77, surrounded by family at CEEH Hospital in Petrolia on July 21, 2024.

Marsha spent many years living with her then-husband Danny and their three children in the hamlet of Dover Centre. From Dover Centre, she moved to Chatham, then Windsor, and spent her last 12 years in Petrolia. She leaves behind her daughter Dawn (Paul) Stilwell and daughter Lori (Rejean) Langevin, grandchildren Eric (Lesley) Bence, Sarah (Nathan) Bushey and Colin (Alessandra) Bence, great-grandchildren Jaxon, Calvin, Owen, Ava and Addy, as well as her siblings Ramie, Natalie, Janine, Jackie, Rachel and Jean Paul. Marsha is predeceased by her mother Helen Storey, her father Philip Goudreau, brothers Philip, Jerome and Hoby, and her youngest daughter, Jennifer Ellis.

The family is very grateful to Dr. Firas Al-Dhaher, Dr. Alison Crombeen and the staff in acute care and continuing care at the Petrolia hospital for their compassionate care in Marsha’s last weeks.

Following her wishes, there will be no funeral. Cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial ceremony to take place in September. Donations can be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Charlotte Eleanor Englehart Hospital in Petrolia.
